Our logistics capability extends to specialized distribution contracts requiring reliable, accountable, and time-sensitive delivery of critical goods across Kenya's counties.

One of our most significant logistics contracts to date was the drugs and medical supplies distribution contract for Hellen Keller International (HKI) in Tharaka Nithi County — a project that demonstrated our capability to handle sensitive, high-stakes logistics with the precision and accountability that international NGOs demand.

About Hellen Keller International

Hellen Keller International (HKI) is a leading global NGO dedicated to eliminating preventable blindness and malnutrition. In Kenya, HKI implements health and nutrition programs across multiple counties, requiring reliable logistics partners for the distribution of medical supplies, drugs, and nutritional supplements to health facilities and communities in remote areas.

The Contract: Medical Supplies Distribution in Tharaka Nithi County

The Brief

Hellen Keller International engaged Dial and Move Kenya to undertake the distribution of drugs and medical supplies across Tharaka Nithi County as part of their health program implementation. The contract required the collection of medical supplies from designated collection points and their distribution to health facilities, community health workers, and program sites across Tharaka Nithi County — including remote and hard-to-reach areas.

The Challenge

Medical supply distribution contracts present unique logistical challenges. The supplies included temperature-sensitive medications requiring careful handling. Tharaka Nithi County has a mix of tarmac and murram roads, with some program sites accessible only by 4WD vehicles. The distribution had to follow a strict schedule aligned with HKI's program implementation timeline. Full chain-of-custody documentation was required for every delivery. And the supplies had to be delivered in perfect condition to ensure program effectiveness.

Our Approach

As professional movers Nairobi and logistics specialists, Dial and Move Kenya approached the HKI contract with the same rigor we apply to all our operations. We deployed appropriate vehicles for both tarmac and off-road routes within Tharaka Nithi County. We maintained strict chain-of-custody documentation for every consignment, with signed delivery receipts at each facility. We coordinated closely with HKI's program team to align our distribution schedule with their implementation timeline. And we ensured all supplies were handled and transported in conditions appropriate for medical goods.

The Result

All medical supplies were distributed to every designated facility and program site in Tharaka Nithi County on schedule and in perfect condition. HKI's program team praised our reliability, documentation standards, and ability to navigate the county's diverse road conditions. The successful execution of this contract established Dial and Move Kenya as a trusted logistics partner for NGO operations in Kenya's counties.

"Dial and Move Kenya delivered our medical supplies to every facility in Tharaka Nithi County on time and in perfect condition. Their documentation and accountability standards matched our NGO requirements exactly. We highly recommend them for NGO logistics contracts in Kenya." — Program Team, Hellen Keller International, Kenya.
